Our Story

Martha’s Vineyard is a DIY house show venue tucked away in Seattle’s University District, built on a love for live music and community. Known for its warm, intimate vibe, the space has become a trusted spot for local and touring bands alike—somewhere artists can play loud, weird, heartfelt sets without pretense.

What started as just a place to host shows has grown into something bigger. The main goal of Martha’s Vineyard is to spread music within the community and help local artists connect with scenes beyond Seattle. It’s about creating something real and lasting, where the focus is on the music and the people behind it—not ticket sales or industry clout.

Now, the team behind Martha’s has taken things a step further by launching a booking agency to help bands tour globally, starting in U.S., Canada, Brazil and Europe. It’s a natural next step: giving artists more tools, more opportunities, and more reach, while staying true to the DIY ethos.

The venue has hosted everything from indie and punk to experimental sounds, with acts like Asterhouse and Guava Tree taking the living room stage. Events like DIY Fest and Friend Fest show just how deeply rooted Martha’s is in Seattle’s creative community.

At its heart, Martha’s Vineyard is about connection—between musicians, friends, strangers, and scenes. It’s a small space with big energy, working to push Seattle’s underground music out into the world.
